Cate completed formal training in Fashion and Costume Design in her native Britain and has gone on to design feature films, television, ballet and theatre.
Her most recent credits include seasons 3 & 4 of The Man in the High Castle, an Amazon original series for which she has been honored with a CDG nomination (Season 3).
Cate’s other work includes: The Son (Season 1), a Western for AMC set in two time periods. Bosch for Amazon Studios. ABC’s Desperate Housewives for which she received four Emmy Award nominations and three CDG Award nominations. Dreamworks’ Win a Date with Tad Hamilton. Columbia Pictures’ I Know What You Did Last Summer. And Oprah Winfrey’s Before Women Had Wings.
She’s also designed for the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, the Washington Ballet, Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and the National Player’s Touring Company.
Cate holds both British and American passports. And has worked in Vancouver, Rome, Nice, Monte Carlo and multiple cites across the U.S. But when not on location, she comes home to Los Angeles.
